Rules & Regulations
1. All drivers must be 25 years of age or older and possess a legal driver's license.
2. All drivers will be charged for gas used during the rental period. All boats have a full tank when rented.
3. No boat is to be operated under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Boating under the influence is illegal.
4. All boats will be checked for damage upon return. Any damages will be billed accordingly at the expense of the renter.
5. All renters must abide by the rules of the water as outlined by the Coast Guard.
6. All renters are required to give a deposit by means of a major credit card at the time of rental.
7. All rental equipment must be returned by the date and time on the rental agreement and failure to do so may result in additional fees.
8. No tubing or skiing from rental boats.
9. Cleaning charge of $50.00 will be charged for dirty boats.
10.Night driving is not allowed- even for multiple day rentals
11. Boats are allowed from the South Grand Island Bridge to the North Grand Island Bridge and down the Erie Canal. Boats are not permitted towards Buffalo or in Canadian waters.
12. Renter is responsible for all damage incurred to boats and/or other boats and objects.
13. All passengers must be seated within the rails in the boat while boat is under way.
Rental Frequently Asked Questions
To reserve a boat we require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
At the time of the rental we also take an additional $500.00 security deposit on your credit card for possible boat damages. Deposit will be refunded at the time of return if no damages have occured. If there is damange, you are responsible to cover all costs.
Any damage is the responsibility of the renter. Customers who would like coverage can explore the following options.
- Contact your insurance company to see if they can add coverage for the duration of the rental as a rider on your existing policy.
- Check with your credit card company to see if there is any coverage available.
In New York State, there is no boating license, but there is a Boating Safety Course needed for all operators age 10-18 years and boat owners. Operators must have a valid form of ID on them while operating the vessel. You must be 25 years of age to rent a vessel from us.
Rentals begin at approximately 11:00 am on the first date of the rental and must be returned by 5:00 pm on the rental return date. A fee will be charged to all rentals that arrive back after their designated deadline.
No, You are responsible for operating the boat. Although a boating license is not required. We do ask that the driver is familiar with the water and operating a boat.
Fenders and mooring lines are provided with each boat to provide protection to the boats exterior. Also, included is the required Coast Guard safety equipment to ensure the boat is in legal compliance.

- children's life jackets are added at no additional charge according to the size that is required
